Where the game stands right now
- Before September 22, 2026 (either time zone): nothing was playable. Pre-orders were open on PS5, Steam and Epic.
- From September 22, 2026: Digital Deluxe Edition owners could play. The standard edition was still locked.
- September 22 – September 24, 2026: Advanced Access in progress. Digital Deluxe owners are playing; Standard Edition owners are waiting. Pre-orders close at the moment of the standard unlock.
- From September 24, 2026 04:00 UTC: the game is fully released on PC worldwide. This is the standard-edition unlock.
- PlayStation 5 in regions east of UTC (Europe, Middle East, most of Asia, Oceania): the PS5 copy unlocked at local midnight on September 24, which falls before the 04:00 UTC PC unlock. If you are on PS5 in those regions you can play earlier than a PC buyer on the same day.
- PlayStation 5 in North America: Sony's own US store listing gives 9/24/2026 04:00 AM UTC — the same instant as PC, i.e. midnight Eastern.
As of 2026-09-23T12:20Z — at the time of this check the standard edition had not unlocked anywhere, and Advanced Access was live.

As of 2026-09-23 · Note on the London row. Konami's graphic is an image and the London Steam/Epic value is not legible in the published graphic. Every other row resolves to exactly 04:00 UTC; London is UTC+1, so its correct value is 5:00 a.m. BST. We print the arithmetically consistent value and flag the substitution rather than repeat an unreadable number.
The one-glance version: PC is a single global moment — 04:00 UTC on September 24. PS5 is a per-region midnight in most of the world, which means the PlayStation version goes live first in Asia and Europe and simultaneously with PC in North America.
Advanced Access
The Digital Deluxe Edition ($59.99) includes 48 hours of Advanced Access, which opened on September 22, 2026. It is the only way to play before the standard unlock — the Standard Edition, including the physical Day One disc, does not include it.
- Which platforms: Digital Deluxe with Advanced Access is sold on PlayStation 5 and Steam. Konami's official pre-order page also lists the Epic Games Store as a purchase channel; Epic has not separately published an Advanced Access start time, so the Epic early-access moment is Pending re-check and is not stated as a fact here.
- When it ends: the moment the standard edition unlocks — 04:00 UTC on September 24 for PC, local midnight on September 24 for PS5 in most regions.
- What you keep afterwards: the early access is a head start, not a separate mode. The same save continues into the full release.
Checked: 2026-09-23T12:20Z — Advanced Access was live. At that moment the answer to "can I play Townfall yet?" was: yes, if you bought the Digital Deluxe Edition; no, if you bought the Standard Edition.
