About this guide

What this site is. SILENT HILL: Townfall Guide is an independent, unofficial fan site about one game: SILENT HILL: Townfall. We cover what a player needs before and around release — when it unlocks in your region, which platforms actually have it, what each edition contains, what critics scored it, and the specific questions people keep asking about it.

By the Townfall Guide editorial team · Last reviewed:

What this site is not. We are not Konami, Annapurna Interactive or Screen Burn. We have no relationship with them, no early access, no review code, no inside information and no editorial input from them. We are not affiliated with them in any way, and nothing here is an official statement. If a page of ours and an official page disagree, the official page is right.

No named author, on purpose. This site is written and maintained under a single editorial identity, "the Townfall Guide editorial team", rather than a personal byline. That is a deliberate choice while the guide is being established: we would rather be consistently attributable than inconsistently personal. The identity is stable — it is the same writer identity on every page, and the same one in the author field of our structured data. If we cannot maintain a name, we do not attach one.

How we source. Every fact in this guide is tied to a source, and the sources are ranked:

  1. First-party and official — Konami's SILENT HILL: Townfall site and pre-order page, Konami's official newsroom and official social channels, Steam's store data, the PlayStation Store and PlayStation's game pages, the Screen Burn studio site, Annapurna Interactive, the 2000 AD shop. These carry the facts.
  2. Established outlets — used to corroborate, or to report what that outlet itself said. Not used as the sole basis for a store or platform fact.
  3. Aggregators — Metacritic and OpenCritic are quoted as aggregators, with the exact score, the number of reviews counted and the date.
  4. Fan archives — sometimes the only public record of something like a regional price or a trophy list. When we use one, we say it is a fan source in the sentence itself.

We do not smooth over disagreements. If two sources give different numbers, the page shows both values and the date of each, rather than picking the one that reads better.

How we date things. Release-window facts move daily. Prices change, review counts climb, unlock times get re-posted. So every number on this site that can move carries either a Checked <date> marker or an explicit as-of date in the sentence. A page's "Last reviewed" line changes whenever we re-verify, even if no wording changed. Where we have looked and found nothing — no Xbox version, no demo, no PS5 Pro frame-rate target — we say that we looked, name the date, and say that the absence is what we checked. An empty answer with a date on it is more useful than a confident guess.

When we are unsure. We mark it, in the page's own language: Pending verification, or Unverified, or Not announced. We also say what specifically is unresolved, because "unconfirmed" on its own tells you nothing. Where we can, we name the source that would settle it.

Corrections. We want them. See how to report a correction — it explains what to send and what happens next.
